Die Lageplan-PDF-Dateien können in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Inkscape (kostenlos), AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks oder Revit geöffnet werden. Alle Programme, die mit dem PDF-Format umgehen können sind grundsätzlich dazu in der Lage die Dateien öffnen und weiterverarbeiten zu können. In einigen Fällen kann die hohe Anzahl an Pfadpunkten dazu führen, dass die PDF lange zum Öffnen braucht, oder das Programm sogar abstürzt, wenn die Hardware nicht ausreicht.

Empfohlen wird eine Weiterverarbeitung der Lageplan. und Schwarzplan-Dateien mit Adobe Illustrator, da dieses Programm erfahrungsgemäß am besten mit dem PDF-Format zurechtkommt. Hier kann der gewünschte Ausschnitt gewählt werden und bei Bedarf als DWG/DXF exportiert werden. Beim Export im Maßstab 1:200 000 entsprechen 5 mm 1000 m.

So far there have been in the PDF preview from the MAC, the problem is that here all the layers contained in the PDF will be displayed. This is apparently because the preview tool of OSX can not handle PDF layers or they do not recognize it as hidden. Once you open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat , Adobe Reader or Illustrator, the PDF is displayed correctly.

Note: As of version 18 PDF layers can be turned on and off with ArchiCAD.

Yes. The plans are compatible with all common CAD and design applications:

• CAD: AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, BricsCAD (via DWG/DXF)
• Design & graphics: Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Inkscape (via PDF/vector)
• GIS: QGIS and other GIS applications

Because everything is vector-based and organised in layers, colours, line weights and individual elements can be adjusted freely.

The thumbnails of our plans show only a part of the actual plan, so you can assume that the ordered plan shows more at the end.
We always create our plans in such a way that the city boundary + a few kilometres of surrounding area are displayed.

A figure-ground plan (Schwarzplan) shows a city’s built structure as black masses on a white ground. It reduces the city to the relationship between mass (buildings) and space (streets, squares, open areas), making urban patterns and density instantly legible.

A site plan (Lageplan) is more detailed: it additionally differentiates streets, plot boundaries, green and water areas, railway lines and more – useful for context, presentations and competitions.

We offer both variants for thousands of cities – as an editable vector file.

Our plans are built to scale and delivered at common scales (for figure-ground plans, depending on city size, e.g. 1:5,000 to 1:25,000). Because you receive a vector file, you can freely adjust the scale in your software and scale the plan to any format without quality loss – from postcard to large-format poster.

Our plans are based on open, continuously maintained geodata (including OpenStreetMap), which we process, clean and render in a consistent figure-ground style. This reflects the current state of each city. If an area has changed significantly, you can request an update at any time.

The classic figure-ground plan is deliberately black and white (black masses on a white ground). Site plans include additional, colour-differentiated layers (water, green, streets …). Because you receive a layer-based vector file, you decide every colour yourself – ideal for adapting the plan to your layout or corporate design.

Die Schwarzpläne haben unterschiedliche Größen, je nach Maßstab und Größe der Stadt. Da die Pläne auf Vektordaten beruhen, können diese verlustfrei vergrößert und auf jede gewünschte Größe skaliert und gedruckt werden.

Basically we check the completeness of the building date of openstreetmap.org randomly. Since the building are based on satellite photos wich day of creation we don’t know, the figure ground plans usually do not reflect the current state of buildings. It may also happen that houses were not located in certain places. Our plans therefore might only be seen as a guide or basis, which must be in some places be adapted and supplemented on your own.

Under DXF plans you can find the currently offered DXF-Plans. In actual CAD and Vector Software you are also able to work with layered PDF files and export them to DXF/DWG.

By default you receive a high-resolution, layer-based PDF. For many plans, DXF and DWG are also available for CAD editing. The formats a plan offers are listed on its product page. All formats are vector-based and organised in layers (buildings, streets, water, green …).

Höhenlinien) ergänzt werden, könnt ihr nach wie vor über euer Benutzerkonto auf die neuen Pläne zugreifen. Solltet ihr kein Benutzerkonto bei uns erstellt haben, sendet uns eine kurze Mail, dass ihr gern die aktuelle Planvariante zugesendet bekommen wollt und wir kümmern uns darum.

Yes. Your purchase includes a usage licence for your projects – competitions, presentations, portfolios, theses and publications. You may edit, colour and embed the plans in your own layouts.

Reselling or passing on the raw files as such is not permitted. For use by entire teams, offices or universities we recommend our educational / multi-seat licences. Details are in our licensing terms.

Wir versuchen natürlich die Lageplan-Anfragen so schnell wie möglich abzuarbeiten, allerdings sollte im Schnitt mit 7 Tagen Bearbeitungszeit gerechnet werden. Danach senden wir eine Mail samt Link zum angefragten Lageplan und dieser kann dann regulär gekauft werden.

Das Anfordern von Lageplan & Schwarzplan ist kostenfrei, nur der Plan selber kostet Geld. Sie erhalten eine Nachricht, wenn ihr angeforderter Lageplan bestellt werden kann.

Yes. We continuously create new figure-ground and site plans. If your city or a specific extent isn’t available yet, you can request it – we’ll check the data and get back to you with scope and price. Often a custom extent (e.g. a district or competition area) can be produced at your preferred scale.
